Wage rate: Start from $29 per hour ; To be negotiated depend on experience/ 30-40 hours per week

JOB REQUIREMENTS:

- Education:
- Completion of secondary (high) school graduation certificate, or equivalent work experience.
- Any additional certifications or training related to drywall installation will be an asset.
- Experience:
- A minimum of 2 years of relevant experience in drywall installing.
- Language:
- English is required for effective communication in the workplace, including reading blueprints, interpreting instructions, and collaborating with team members.

JOB DUTIES

Clean and prepare surfaces





Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners

Fill joints, nail indentations, holes and cracks with joint compound using trowel and broad knife

Measure, cut, fit and install drywall sheets

Position and secure sheets to metal or wooden studs or joists

Smooth out excess compound and allow coat to dry

Spray acoustic or texture materials over walls and ceilings

Tape over joints using taping machine and embed tape in compound

Install metal stud framing and furring for interior drywall or plaster walls and ceilings, using hand and power tools

Prepare wall and ceiling layouts

Read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications

Working setting : Construction, residential and commercial.Work conditions:

- Bending, crouching, kneeling
- Combination of sitting, standing, walking
- Handling heavy loads
- Physically demanding, weight handling up to 23 Kg (50lb)
