La Fogata Mexicana is a family-owned restaurant passionate about serving authentic Mexican food. We are looking for a reliable, hardworking, and positive team member to join our kitchen.
Responsibilities
- Prepare ingredients, including vegetables, meats, sauces, and other food items.
- Cook and assemble menu items according to our recipes and quality standards.
- Keep the kitchen clean, organized, and stocked throughout each shift.
- Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
- Assist with opening and closing duties.
- Work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and support other team members when needed.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in Mexican cuisine is highly preferred, as this role involves preparing authentic Mexican dishes.
- Able to work in a fast-paced environment.
- Reliable, punctual, and willing to learn.
- Able to stand for long periods and lift up to 25 kg (55 lbs).
- Food Safe Certificate is an asset.
- Weekend availability is preferred.
- Fluent in Spanish is required, as this position involves daily communication with our kitchen team. Basic English communication skills are preferred.

- Competitive pay based on experience. Entry-level candidates may start at minimum wage, while experienced cooks may earn $25.00/hour or more, depending on their skills, qualifications, and performance.
