Aircraft Mechanic – YYZ (Toronto Pearson Airport)

KLM Line Maintenance has an opening for a n "on-call" position as an Aircraft Mechanic based at Toronto’s Pearson Airport.

In compliance with technical requirements and Company procedures, assists in performing inspections, maintenance tasks, testing and checks on Air France KLM and third party aircrafts in order to ensure optimal technical support under the Aircraft Ground Engineer’s supervision.

Key Responsibilities:

- Perform Headset communications at aircraft arrival and departure
- Advise line ground engineer of the defects and complaints at aircraft arrival.
- Perform servicing and replenishing tasks as directed
- Assist the ground engineers to perform transit to weekly checks, cabin rectifications and trouble shootings




- Report any process malfunction, either logistic or technical.
- Provide all necessary management information to Line Maintenance Manager.
- Perform all necessary logistic actions, including material, tooling, spares, and documentation.

Qualifications & Requirements:

- Aircraft Maintenance Technician Diploma (or foreign equivalent) or completion of an accredited apprenticeship program;
- Experience in the position offered or related position with: aircraft engineering and aircraft maintenance standards and procedures, including technical documentation relating to Boeing, Airbus, Original Aircraft Manufacturers (OEMs), and Minimum Equipment List (MEL) and IATA Standards Ground Contract Handling Agreements (an asset);
- Able to obtain the Transportation Security Clearance and/or Pearson International Airport permanent pass (mandatory);
- Have the legal right to reside and work in Canada (mandatory);
- Have excellent command of the English language (written and spoken) and aviation terminology and possess valuable communication skills;
- Team player with the ability to maintain customer focused attitude in a demanding and high pressure environment;
- Able to work varied shifts and weekends.
