Overview
Johnson Industries Ltd designs and manufactures a range of products in house including hydraulic, pneumatic, spring-set or manually applied caliper disc brakes and brake systems for use on hoists, conveyors, propulsion systems and other rotating equipment.
What skills are required:
- Have the ability to read and interpret engineering blueprints and be able to fabricate and understanding welding symbols/procedures
- Able to operate M.I.G welder, mostly welding mild steel/stainless steel, torch, air arc gouger, plasma cutter and grinder
- Able to operate forklift and overhead hoist
- Level C ticket is a minimum
- CWB ticket an asset
- CWB, Level B ticket is a plus
- Able to fabricate is a plus
- To work indoor in a machine shop setting
The right candidate will also be taught how to run a waterjet cutting machine and some manual machines.
Wage rate will be based on experience.

- Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
Experience
Welding experience in a shop setting an asset
