Oakvillage pharmacy is seeking a part-time pharmacy assistant to join our team. This role is intended for individuals who are not pharmacists and are not currently enrolled in, or planning to enroll in, a pharmacy program.
Qualifications:
- University diploma or equivalent.
- Previous experience working in a pharmacy is a must.
-Strong English communication skills required.
-Arabic-speaking is preferred
-Must have at least general knowledge of Fillware dispensing system.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy in medication preparation.
- Excellent organizational and multitasking skills.
- Proficient computer skills.
- Excellent communication and customer service skills.
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Key responsibilities:
- Assist pharmacists in dispensing medications and preparing prescriptions.
- Maintain inventory of medications and supplies.
- Label and package medications accurately.
- Enter patient information and prescription details into the computer system.
- Prepare blister packs.
-Answer phone calls and assist with inquiries from patients and healthcare professionals.
- Ensure compliance with pharmacy regulations and safety standards.
- Perform administrative tasks such as filing, data entry, and record keeping.
