Our Client is looking for a Surface Supervisor! This role is based in Northern Ontario, 3 km west of Matachewan, ON. Reporting to the Mill Operations Superintendent, the Surface Supervisor will be responsible for overseeing day-to-day operations and maintenance of surface infrastructure. The Surface Supervisor will lead the teams to maximize production, enforce safety protocols, and coordinate planned maintenance schedules to ensure facility reliability.

What You'll Do:

- Safety Leadership: Enforce all safety procedures, company policies, and government regulatory compliance.
- Team Management: Lead, coach, and support operations and maintenance personnel to maintain a high-performance culture.
- Equipment Oversight: Monitor performance of surface equipment to minimize downtime and coordinate timely corrective actions.
- Planning & Scheduling: Coordinate maintenance activities and assist in executing operational plans, cost control efforts, and shift communication.
- Documentation: Ensure all compliance records and equipment audits are accurate and up-to-date.

What You'll Need:

- Education & Certifications: A technical diploma, trade certification (Journeyman), or equivalent experience at a valid provincial Mine
- Must have Supervisor Common Core Transcript
- Experience: 3 to 6 years of experience in heavy equipment repair,



facilities maintenance, or site services, preferably in a mining or open-pit workplace
- Technical Skills: Strong diagnostic aptitude, ability to read technical drawings/manuals, and proficiency in software programs like Microsoft Office and SAP PM/EAM.

Required PPE:

- CSA-approved steel toe boots
- CSA-hard hat
- CSA-high visibility coat or vest & pants
- CSA safety glasses
- Cleats (during the months of November to March)
- Half Mask

Other Details:

- 7/7 work rotation - 12 hour shifts
- Hazards: trip, falls, weather
