Overview

We are seeking a reliable and experienced CLASS 1 Line Haul Driver to join our transportation team. This role involves operating commercial vehicles to transport freight over long distances, ensuring timely deliveries and maintaining safety standards. The ideal candidate will possess strong driving skills, familiarity with heavy equipment operation, and a commitment to safety and efficiency. Responsibilities

- Safely operate commercial trucks for long-distance freight hauling between distribution centers and terminals
- Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of vehicles to ensure safety and compliance with regulations
- Load and unload freight using forklifts or other heavy equipment as needed
- Secure cargo properly to prevent damage during transit
- Maintain accurate delivery documentation and logs in accordance with company policies
- Communicate effectively with dispatchers, warehouse staff,



and clients regarding delivery schedules and issues
- Perform basic vehicle maintenance and report any mechanical concerns promptly
- Adhere to all traffic laws, safety procedures, and company policies throughout the journey

Experience

- Valid commercial driver’s license (CDL) with clean driving record
- Prior experience operating heavy equipment such as forklifts is preferred
- Familiarity with freight handling, loading/unloading procedures, and safety protocols
- Knowledge of automotive repair basics is a plus but not required
- Experience in long-haul or line haul trucking is highly desirable
- Ability to operate heavy equipment safely and efficiently in various environments
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail for maintaining accurate logs and documentation

Pay: $23.00-$30.00 per hour
