This role will be responsible for accurately estimating building supply costs, providing quotes and plans to customers and contractors. Assist with material selection for construction and renovation projects. The Estimator has a strong background in building materials and construction, possess exceptional analytical and mathematical skills and is customer sales driven as well as able to work in a fast-paced retail environment.
Responsibilities
Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines, and manage multiple projects simultaneously. Ability to work in a fast-paced and high-pressure environment.
Customer service-oriented approach with the ability to build and maintain positive relationships.
Solid problem and decision-making skills and abilities to resolve customer inquiries/complaints and address project challenges.
Collaborate and be an adaptable team player with a positive attitude and wiliness to assist colleagues as needed.
Proficient in using POS systems, accounting software and Microsoft Office applications, particularly Excel.
High level of integrity and professionalism
Results-driven mindset and wiliness to take initiative.
Experience in meeting store sales targets
Ability to work flexible scheduling.
The job may involve lifting and moving heavy items, so physical stamina and the ability to handle physical work will be required.
Qualifications
10+ years of proven experience in building supply estimating and sales preferably in a retail or construction industry setting
Proficient in using estimating software, spreadsheets, and other relevant with blueprint reading.
Strong mathematical and analytical skills to accurately calculate quantities, measurements.
In-depth knowledge of building materials, construction techniques, and industry standards
Excellent verbal and written communication skills to interact with customers, vendors, and
co-workers effectively.
Need to be meticulous to the attention to detail to ensure accurate estimates, quotes, and documentation
Must have proven track record in a high-volume establishment
Pay: Up to $85,000.00 per year
