Duties
- Dispense prescription medications accurately and efficiently in accordance with physician orders and pharmacy protocols
- Provide expert consultation to patients regarding medication usage, potential side effects, and interactions
- Review prescriptions for accuracy, appropriateness, and potential drug interactions using medical terminology knowledge
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to optimize patient care plans and medication therapies
- Maintain detailed and up-to-date patient records and pharmacy documentation
- Educate patients on proper medication storage and adherence strategies
- Support inventory management by monitoring stock levels and assisting with ordering medications as needed
- Uphold all safety and regulatory standards related to pharmacy practice
Qualifications
- Valid pharmacist license in Ontario
- Excellent attention to detail, organizational skills, and accuracy in dispensing medications
- Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively within a healthcare team
