MTM Custom Manufacturing is a growing precision machining company looking for an experienced, hands-on Operations Manager who thrives in a fast-paced environment and enjoys making a real impact.

This is not a large corporate management role. We are looking for someone who is a self-starter, enjoys solving problems, and is comfortable taking ownership of a wide variety of responsibilities. The successful candidate will work directly with the owner to improve operations, build systems, support our customers, and help drive the continued growth of the business.

Key Responsibilities

- Lead and supervise the day-to-day activities of our machining team.
- Plan and coordinate production to ensure customer commitments are met.
- Prepare quotations and work directly with customers to resolve technical and scheduling issues.
- Build strong relationships with customers through responsive service and practical problem-solving.
- Develop, implement, and improve operational systems, procedures, and workflows.
- Organize the shop to improve efficiency, productivity, and overall performance.
- Assist with purchasing, supplier management, and inventory planning.
- Support production planning and scheduling.
- Monitor key operational metrics and identify opportunities for continuous improvement.




- Work closely with ownership to implement strategic initiatives and support business growth.
- Perform other operational responsibilities as required in a growing manufacturing environment.

Qualifications

The ideal candidate will have:

- Experience in a precision machining or CNC manufacturing environment.
- Previous supervisory or management experience.
- A strong understanding of machining processes, manufacturing workflow, and production planning.
- Experience preparing quotations or estimating manufacturing work.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills.
- The ability to prioritize multiple projects and adapt quickly as business needs change.
- Strong customer service and relationship management skills.
- A continuous improvement mindset with the ability to implement practical solutions.

Pay: $75,000.00-$100,000.00 per year
