Position Title: Forest Educator

Location: Simon Fraser Hills Park (Peanut Park) in Burnaby

Terms: Part time position from September 2026 onward

Shift: Flexible shift options including 8am to 1pm, 1pm to 5pm, or a split shift. Educators will have a set schedule once decided including 12 to 25 hours per week.

Pay: Responsible adult or ECEA $25/hr, ECE $25 or higher based on qualifications and experience

Job Description:

Questcoast Kids is seeking 2 educators to join our team for 2 separate programs. A successful candidate can be exemplary in one age range or both.

Questies

8am to 2pm with children 1 to 6 years old

Nature Club

2:50pm to 4:50pm with school aged children Kindergarten and up

Both programs are 100% outside.

Responsibilities:

- Follow and maintain our current daily routine and transitions
- Lead and assist with activities that are prepared for the day
- Follow our respectful approach and philosophy when engaging with the children
- Build positive relationships with children and their families




- Help children navigate conflict and role model positive behaviours
- Maintain a safe environment for the children
- Ensure the health and safety of children in your care
- Engage in the children’s interests and follow their lead for activities
- Communicating with families and business operator about the children’s day
- Assist with toileting, diapering, and cleaning for children when needed

Qualifications/Experience:

· Must be a Responsible Adult, ECEA or ECE

· Emergency First Aid and CPR C

· Experience in a daycare or group childcare setting

· Criminal Record Check

A successful candidate might also have:

· Early Childhood Educator Certification

- Forest School Education and Experience
