Job description

Thermo Cool Mechanical is looking for an installer to join our projects division. The candidate will be responsible for installing large commercial HVAC equipment in condominium buildings. Projects include the installation of hydronic boilers and boiler room retrofits, chiller installation, make up air units and air handlers. The candidate will be required to work independently as well as in a team environment.

Thermo Cool Mechanical has been providing the GTA with HVAC service in the high rise condominium industry for over 40 years. We service, install, and maintain all equipment related to HVAC including boilers, cooling towers, chillers, make-up air units, booster pumps, heat pumps, and fan coils.Thermo Cool offers a challenging and professional workplace setting that encourages career progression for all our technicians. The large majority of our work is in the city core and the rest in the GTA, very rarely do we travel outside of the GTA for work.

Qualifications and Skills

- Must have clean driving record
- Minimum Gas Fitter 1
- Pipefitting experience is a requirement
- Ability to read engineered drawings and translate it to the jobsite
- Projects will require placement of heavy equipment, knowledge of rigging and machinery moving is an asset
- Experience installing and ordering sheet metal
- Basic understanding of electrical systems
- Must pay close attention to detail
- Must be willing to work independently and in a team environment
- Capable of working flexible hours
- Good communication skills

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: $45.00-$70.00 per hour
