Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and qualified Customer Service Associate / Cashier to join our country store! This role involves providing exceptional customer service, managing transactions accurately, preparing fresh food, stocking merchandise, and assisting customers with their needs. The ideal candidate will possess strong communication skills, be organized, and have a passion for delivering a positive shopping experience.

Duties

- Must be at least 18 years old due to the LCBO/beer store
- Sell OLG and tobacco products in accordance with laws and applicable age verification requirements
- Greet customers warmly and assist them with their purchases
- Prepare sandwiches and other food items while safely operating a commercial meat slicer and oven.
- Operate POS systems efficiently for cash handling and transactions
- Manage product displays, merchandising, and stock replenishment
- Maintain accurate cash register operations, including balancing cash at shift end
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing inquiries and resolving issues promptly




- Ensure the store environment is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Manage time effectively during busy periods to ensure smooth checkout processes

Requirements

- Proven experience in retail sales, cashiering, or customer service roles
- Reliable transportation is required (There is no public transit available to our location)
- Basic math skills for handling cash transactions accurately
- Familiarity with POS systems and cash handling procedures
- Excellent organizational skills and time management to handle multiple tasks efficiently
- Professional phone etiquette and interpersonal skills for engaging with customers both in person and over the phone
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail and professionalism
- Experience with OLG lottery terminals is considered an asset, but training will be provided to the right candidate

Pay: $17.60 per hour
