Service Technician - Overhead Door Systems

Atlas Overhead Doors Inc. is looking for reliable, hardworking, and motivated Service Technicians to join our growing team.

Job Details

- Position: Service Technician
- Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent
- Hours: 44 hours per week, with potential overtime
- Schedule: Monday to Friday, with potential overtime as required
- Compensation: Competitive hourly wage, with highly competitive pay for candidates with relevant industry experience.
- Location: Greater Toronto Area

Responsibilities

As a Service Technician, you will install, maintain, service, and repair overhead door systems for industrial, commercial, and residential customers.

Responsibilities include:

- Install, service, troubleshoot, and repair overhead doors and related equipment.
- Service and install commercial loading docks, dock levellers and dock seals.
- Perform preventative maintenance on overhead door systems.
- Diagnose mechanical and electrical issues and recommend appropriate solutions.
- Safely operate company vehicles and use tools and equipment at customer sites.
- Complete service calls efficiently while maintaining a high standard of workmanship.
- Provide skilled and courteous customer service.
- Complete service reports and communicate effectively with the office and customers.
- Follow all company safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications

- Valid Ontario G driver’s licence with a clean driving record.
- Access to a reliable vehicle to travel to job sites throughout the Greater Toronto Area.
- Ability to successfully complete a criminal background check.
- Experience in the overhead door industry required.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and experience using hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to lift heavy materials and work safely at heights.
- Reliable, punctual, and able to work independently as well as part of a team.
- A positive attitude and willingness to learn.
