Duties

- Perform detailed inspections, troubleshooting, and repairs on various marine engines, propulsion systems, and onboard equipment
- Use hand tools and power tools to disassemble, repair, and reassemble mechanical components with precision
- Conduct routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and system calibrations to ensure vessel reliability
- Diagnose mechanical issues using technical manuals, diagnostic tools, and mechanical knowledge to identify root causes
- Maintain accurate records of repairs, maintenance activities, and parts used for each vessel
- Collaborate with team members to ensure safety protocols are followed during all repair procedures




- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades on marine vessels as needed

Experience

- Proven mechanical knowledge with hands-on experience in marine or similar heavy machinery environments
- Familiarity with hand tools and power tools essential for performing repairs effectively
- Prior experience working on marine engines or propulsion systems is highly desirable
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagnostic reports clearly and accurately
- Strong problem-solving skills with an active approach to troubleshooting complex mechanical issues
- Excellent attention to detail to ensure all repairs meet safety standards and quality expectations
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team in a fast-paced environment while maintaining high safety standards
