The Town of Wainwright is currently accepting applications for a Full-time Level 7 Head Lifeguard 1 at the Wainwright Communiplex. This position is responsible for the standard of guarding and maintenance during shifts as well as the supervision and training of other staff members. Experience and knowledge of mechanical operations and maintenance of pool systems and water balancing is essential. The successful candidate will have robust interpersonal and public relations skills, and communicate effectively. Responsibilities include the instruction of swim lessons, lifeguarding and performing a variety of additional duties as assigned.

Applicants must be 18 years of age and possess the following:

-Intermediate 1st Aid & CPR Level C

-National Lifeguard Certification

-Lifesaving Swim Instructor

-Lifesaving Instructor

-Class 5 Driver’s License

-Clean Criminal Record

The successful candidate will be required to obtain:

-Pool Operator 1 – within 12 months





-Pool Operator 2 – within 24 months

This position is within the scope of C.U.P.E Local 5606, and as such, the successful candidate will be required to adhere to the articles contained within the Collective Agreement. The Town of Wainwright offers competitive wages and an excellent benefit package. The rate of pay for this position is $35.05 per hour.
