Fort Sands is looking to add a Handyperson to work on a variety of maintenance jobs on multi-family dwellings. We're looking to hire two employees who like to be busy are able to travel to different customer sites to complete these projects.

SKILLS & EXPERIENCE:

- Experience working independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of the Alberta Building Code.
- Ability to estimate materials and labour and complete work to a high standard with solid attention to detail.
- Skilled in using hand and power tools safely and accurately to measure, cut, install, and repair building materials.
- Perform basic carpentry, including framing, trim, doors, fences, decks, windows, and related repairs.
- Repair damaged walls, ceilings, flooring, siding, trim, fascia, flashing, and perform minor roofing repairs.
- Apply stucco, paint, stain, finish surfaces, and accurately match paint and caulking colours.
- Perform caulking, weatherproofing, concrete patching, pressure washing, landscaping, and grading repairs.
- Diagnose water entry points and conduct water tests (asset).
- Troubleshoot repair issues independently, adapt to changing job conditions,



and recommend practical repair solutions.
- Safely operate extension ladders and pressure washers.

ADDITIONAL BENEFICIAL SKILLS:

- Small skid steer or mini excavator or lift (asset)
- 3–5 years of residential/commercial construction and maintenance experience (asset), including renovations and tenant improvements.
- Install drywall, tape, mud, sand, and repair walls, Knockdown ceilings (asset)
- Scaffolding (asset)
- Gutter cleaning and repair (asset)
- Install flooring (vinyl, laminate, hardwood, tile repairs) (asset)
- Replace locks, door hardware, and hinges (asset)
- Repair stairs, railings, and handrails (asset)

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: $25.00-$32.00 per hour
