Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Private Caregiver to provide personalized in-home care to an elderly Indo-Canadian couple in their 80s in Toronto. This role involves supporting individuals with daily activities, ensuring their safety, comfort, and well-being. The ideal candidate will have experience in assisted living, patient care, or senior care, and possess a genuine desire to improve the quality of life for those they serve. Duties

- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, mobility support, cooking, dishes, cleaning
- Administer medications according to prescribed schedules and protocols
- Prepare nutritious meals tailored to individual dietary needs
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients, including those with dementia or hospice care needs
- Perform housekeeping tasks such as cleaning and laundry to maintain a safe and comfortable workplace
- Support clients with mobility exercises or transfers, including heavy lifting when necessary




- Monitor health status and report any changes or concerns to family members or healthcare professionals
- Assist with medical appointments and coordinate transportation as needed
- Implement care plans tailored to each client’s specific requirements

Requirements

- Proven experience in assisted living, home care, nursing home settings, or working with individuals with disabilities
- Knowledge of dementia care, hospice care, and senior care best practices
- Ability to perform heavy lifting and physical support tasks safely
- Strong caregiving skills with a compassionate and patient demeanor
- Certification or experience in medication administration is preferred but not mandatory
- Ability to handle responsibilities such as meal preparation and light cleaning efficiently
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work independently or as part of a team
- Valid driver’s license preferred for transportation duties
- Must be reliable, punctual, and committed to providing high-quality care

Pay: $22.00 per hour
