We are seeking a reliable, skilled, and independent Arena Operator to join our team. If you take pride in maintaining high-quality ice surfaces and enjoy hands-on work in a dynamic environment, this role may be a great fit for you.

Olympia ice resurfacing experience is considered an asset, and a minimum of Arena Level 1 Certification is required.

WHMIS and First Aid training are preferred but not mandatory.

This is a highly autonomous position ideal for a motivated self-starter. You will often work independently and must demonstrate excellent punctuality, strong time-management skills, and the ability to prioritize ice rentals, tasks, and facility responsibilities.

A valid Class 5 (or equivalent) driver’s license is required.

Key Responsibilities

Under the direction of the Operations Manager, your duties include, but are not limited to:

- Operating the Olympia ice resurfacer to maintain a high-quality ice surface.
- Performing janitorial tasks: sweeping, mopping, washroom/shower cleaning, garbage removal, floor scrubbing, recycling, and general facility upkeep.




- Completing minor building maintenance and reporting repair needs.
- Providing excellent customer service while liaising with renters and patrons regarding facility use and concerns.
- Documenting incidents, discrepancies, and operational issues for management.
- Conducting inspections of the ammonia refrigeration plant.
- Carrying out basic groundskeeping duties such as snow removal and litter cleanup.
- Ensuring building security, including perimeter checks, door inspections, and opening/closing procedures.
- Performing other related duties as assigned.

A Vulnerable Sector Check is required for this position.

Job Types: Part time, Permanent

Pay: $21.00-$26.00 per hour
