Duties and Responsibilities:
-
Equipment Troubleshooting: Rapidly diagnosing and resolving failures in production testing equipment, calibration benches, and electrical jigs to minimize production downtime.
- Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Leading formal investigations into recurring accuracy, yield, or calibration failures and implementing permanent Corrective and Preventive Actions (CAPA)
to eliminate temporary patches.
- Process Optimization: Analyzing and improving production workflows using Lean manufacturing and Six Sigma methodologies to increase throughput and reduce cycle times.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Bridging the gap between Production, Quality, and R&D; by escalating fundamental design flaws and taking full ownership of sustaining engineering on the production floor.
- Standardization: Developing, updating, and enforcing Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) for jig maintenance, connection protocols, and daily bench verification.
- Data Tracking and Reporting: Monitoring First Pass Yield (FPY), calibration drift, and equipment failure rates, shifting the production floor from a reactive state to preventive maintenance.
- Quality Assurance: Collaborating with the Quality department to ensure all engineering changes and process improvements meet strict accuracy and quality standards.
- Training and Development: Providing training and technical guidance to production staff on new testing procedures, jig handling, and process updates.
