Join Our Team – Experienced Legal Assistant / Paralegal

Position: Full-Time

Compensation: Competitive salary based on experience

Work Location: This position will initially be remote during the onboarding and training period, with a planned transition to an in-office role based in our Vancouver and Surrey offices.

We are a new and growing law firm looking for an experienced Legal Assistant or Paralegal to join our team. This is an exciting opportunity to help build a firm from the ground up and become an integral part of a team-oriented, client-focused practice.

About the Role

You will work closely with multiple lawyers in the areas of:

- Family Law
- Criminal Law
- Wills & Estates

While experience in all practice areas is not required, family law experience is strongly preferred.

The successful candidate will be highly organized, proactive, able to manage competing deadlines, and comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities

- Drafting legal correspondence and court documents
- Preparing and organizing client files
- Managing calendars, deadlines, and limitation dates
- Communicating professionally with clients, opposing counsel, and the courts
- Preparing application materials and trial briefs
- Assisting with file management from intake to completion
- General administrative and legal support for multiple lawyers

Qualifications





- Experience as a Legal Assistant or Paralegal
- Family law experience preferred
- Excellent organizational and time-management skills
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Ability to prioritize multiple files and work independently
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office and legal practice management software
- A positive attitude and willingness to grow with the firm
