Job Summary

JEI Learning Center is an after-school enrichment program for children ages 4 to 12. We also offer tutoring programs like English, Math, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math and Critical Thinking.

We are looking for experienced, committed individuals that will assist with our After School Program (average 60 children). Candidate will be working closely with the Regional Director and Assistant Director.

Shifts are between Monday to Friday 1:00PM-6:30PM, starting September 2026. Candidate must be willing to commit until June 2027. Local candidates only.

Lead Teacher responsibilities include but not limited to:

- Assist in the classroom with activities related to the program (JEI English, Math, Reading & Writing, Problem Solving Math and Critical Thinking)
- Mark students' workbooks on a daily basis
- Monitor and motivate students between the ages of 6-13
- Keep center neat and tidy throughout the day
- Be energetic, versatile, and present a positive attitude




- Exhibit positive and professional work habits such as punctuality, dependability, and confidentiality

Priorities are given to candidates with:

- Formal background preferred: Certified teacher or Teacher candidate, Early childhood educator/Graduate student/Teaching assistant
- Strong Math skills (Up to Grade 12) and/or elementary French skills
- Previous teaching/tutoring experience a plus, especially exposure to different learning styles. Previous experience with special needs and/or learning disabilities a plus.
