The Position

The IT Technician at the DoubleTree by Hilton Victoria will play a critical role in supporting the hotel’s daily operations by ensuring all technology systems function efficiently, securely, and consistently across all departments. This position will also serve as the primary point of contact for all technology related item including IT projects and enforcing IT standards/policies.

The Job

- Provide prompt, professional, and courteous first-level support for IT-related issues.
- Troubleshoot and resolve system, hardware, and network problems for all end users.
- Install, configure, and maintain desktop/laptop computers, printers, peripherals, and software.
- Support critical hotel applications like Point of Sales system, Energy Management, Key Lock, CCTV, Telephone, payment systems, etc.
- Maintain and monitor IT infrastructure, including servers (Local and Cloud), network components, Cloud Storage and backups.
- Perform routine system health checks, backups, and maintain disaster recovery plans.
- Maintain accurate documentation of IT assets, incidents, and technical procedures.
- Manage user profiles and access rights for all key hotel systems.
- Support ongoing IT projects and rollouts under the direction of the CFO.
- Looks for recent technologies and digital enhancements that may be beneficial to the company and customer.
- Willingness to work outside regular hours during critical system down time and hardware refresh period.




- Complete all PCI initiatives and coordinate with vendors to ensure all service-level agreements (SLAs) are met.
- Other duties as assigned to support operational needs and team objectives.

Job Requirements

- Diploma/Degree or equivalent practical experience in IT or related field.
- 1–2 years of relevant experience in IT support or infrastructure management, preferably in the hospitality industry.
- Good knowledge of Windows OS, Microsoft Office Products (Azure), Cloud storage (Sharepoint), network systems, hardware components and hotel systems.
- Entry level Network Technician and Microsoft Certification.
- Basic knowledge of Mac OS and Linux.
- Familiarity with industry IT systems and standards is an advantage.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent interpersonal and customer service abilities.
- Highly organized, detail-oriented, and proactive.
- Strong problem-solving skills.
- Able to work independently.
- Hold a valid drivers’ licence.

Wage: $65,000 to $68,000 per annum

Work Location: In person /On Property.

Job Type: Temporary

Contract length: 18 months with possibility for extension
