Job Description

A private household in Canmore, Alberta is seeking a reliable and compassionate Home Support Worker to provide full-time care and support for a person with disability within the home.

The successful candidate will be responsible for assisting with the daily care, supervision, and well-being of a household member requiring ongoing support.

Wage: $22/hour

Hours: 35-40 hours per week, full-time, permanent

Schedule: Early morning, flexible hours

Key Responsibilities

- Provide personal care, and supervision for safety as required
- Support with daily living skills, hygiene, laundry, staying on schedule
- Assist with daily routines and activities
- Support client through transitions and schedule changes and ensure a safe home environment
- Meal preparation support, making healthy choices
- Perform light housekeeping related to care
- Support development of life skills - food prep, housekeeping and organizational skills
- Monitor well-being and report any changes
- Provide companionship and emotional support




- Maintain a consistent and structured care routine
- Occasional pet care

Requirements

- At least 2 years experience supporting persons with special needs
- Ability to follow care instructions and maintain consistency
- Strong sense of responsibility and reliability
- Positive time management, communication, and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently within a private household
- Availability for early morning shifts, with flexible scheduling as needed.
