Overview

Our friendly and patient-focused dental practice is looking for a Certified Dental Assistant to join our team. This is primarily a chairside assisting position with occasional front desk responsibilities to support our existing receptionist when needed.

The ideal candidate is a team player who enjoys providing exceptional patient care and is comfortable assisting with reception duties such as answering phones, scheduling appointments, processing insurance claims, and helping ensure the office runs smoothly. We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, and thrives in a collaborative environment.

Duties

Clinical Duties

- Chairside assisting during dental procedures
- Prepare and disinfect operatories
- Sterilize instruments and maintain infection prevention and control standards
- Take radiographs (where applicable)
- Maintain a clean, organized, and efficient clinical environment
- Assist the dentist in providing exceptional patient care

Reception Support





- Answer incoming phone calls and assist with patient inquiries
- Schedule, confirm, and coordinate appointments
- Process insurance claims, preauthorizations, and treatment estimates
- Collect payments and maintain accurate patient records using Tracker
- Assist with patient recalls and follow-up communications
- Support the existing receptionist with day-to-day administrative duties

Qualifications

- Certified Dental Assistant (Level II preferred)
- Previous dental assisting experience is required
- Previous dental reception experience is an asset but not required
- Experience with Tracker is an asset
- Knowledge of dental insurance and claim processing
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Excellent organizational and multitasking abilities
- Skilled, reliable, and detail oriented
- Ability to work independently while contributing to a team environment
- CPR and HARP certification preferred

Pay: $28.00-$34.00 per hour
