ATAC LAW is a growing litigation firm in South Burnaby, and we're looking for an experienced Litigation Paralegal to join our team. This is a senior support role: you'll work directly with our partners and lawyers on active files, as well as you'll also help mentor our legal assistants as they grow in their careers.

We work across a wide range of practice areas, including construction law, administrative law, criminal law, employment law, estate law, and personal injury — so no two weeks look the same. You'll be joining a genuinely supportive team, and you won't be figuring things out alone: our lawyers and senior staff are invested in helping you succeed and grow here.

What You'll Do

- Independently manage deadlines and key dates across multiple litigation files.
- File actions and applications with the Court and effect service, without close supervision.
- Draft legal documents from precedent, including Notices of Civil Claim, chambers application materials, and correspondence such as medical record requests.
- Manage a full caseload across practice areas including commercial litigation, construction litigation, and personal injury.
- Communicate directly with clients, opposing counsel, and Court registries.
- Act as a go-to resource for our legal assistants, answering procedural and file-management questions.
- Work with management to onboard and train new legal assistants on our systems, values, and proper workflows.
- Review junior work product (correspondence, draft documents) and provide feedback before it goes to a lawyer.

What We're Looking For

- 4+ years of experience in a general litigation environment, with 2+ years experience as a paralegal.
- A solid familiarity with the BC legal system and court procedures,



as well as the inner workings of a law firm.
- Comfort working in an environment with multiple competing deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills; confident speaking directly with staff, lawyers, and clients.
- Strong attention to detail. This is non-negotiable in litigation work.
- Prior experience mentoring, training, or supervising junior staff is an asset.
- Proficiency with Clio is a huge plus.
- Fluency in Mandarin is a nice-to-have, but not a requirement.
