About the Role
VG Meats is looking for a passionate and skilled Cook to join our team in Stoney Creek.

This is a unique hybrid role that blends culinary expertise with retail engagement.

You’ll play a key part in delivering high-quality food experiences while supporting both kitchen and retail operations.

We’re looking for someone who is:

Key Responsibilities
+ Prepare and cook a variety of dishes to high quality standards
+ Execute special menu items as directed by management
+ Support and oversee daily kitchen operations




+ Maintain inventory and track food, supplies, and equipment
+ Ensure all kitchen, storage, and prep areas are clean and sanitized
+ Assist with menu planning, portioning, and food cost control
+ Set up and maintain attractive food displays
+ Serve and engage with customers in a retail setting
+ Provide product recommendations and drive sales through suggestive selling

Requirements
+ Minimum 1 year of commercial cooking experience, OR
+ Experience in a retail food environment
+ Strong understanding of food preparation, safety, and kitchen operations
+ Excellent time management and organizational skills
+ Ability to work in a rapid-paced, team-oriented environment
