**Job Title: Foreman**

**Job Description**

This role oversees multiple commercial construction projects, working closely with site superintendents on tenant improvements, CRUs, and new builds..

The foreman leads daily site activities, supervises subtrades, ensures strict adherence to safety standards, and contributes hands-on work on the tools when required.

The position combines field leadership, coordination, and documentation responsibilities to keep projects on schedule, on budget, and in compliance with quality and safety requirements.

**Responsibilities**

+ Work alongside site superintendents on multiple sites.
+ Lead and run daily toolbox meetings to communicate safety expectations, work plans, and project updates to the crew and subtrades.
+ Monitor and oversee subtrades to ensure work quality, productivity, and adherence to project specifications and safety policies.
+ Prepare and submit detailed daily reports documenting site progress, workforce, issues, and safety observations.
+ Work on the tools as needed to support project schedules and ensure critical tasks are completed on time.
+ Develop, manage, and maintain project schedules, adjusting activities and resources to meet milestones.
+ Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, RFIs, and deficiency lists to guide construction activities and resolve issues.
+ Coordinate staff and subtrades to ensure materials, equipment, and labor are available when required.
+ Promote and enforce strong adherence to safety policies, procedures, and regulatory requirements on all job sites.
+ Use basic computer applications, including Microsoft Office, Excel, and Procore, to manage documentation, communication, and reporting.

**Essential Skills**

+ Minimum of 2 years of experience working in a lead hand or foreman role on commercial construction projects.
+ Strong experience in construction and carpentry with hands-on experience on commercial job sites.
+ Journeyman-level trade experience in a relevant construction discipline.
+ Demonstrated ability to run project schedules and coordinate daily site activities.
+ Ability to read and interpret blueprints, RFIs, and deficiency lists accurately.
+ Strong adherence to safety policies and procedures, with a proactive safety mindset.
+ Solid interpersonal and leadership skills, with the ability to lead crews and manage subtrades effectively.
+ Basic computer proficiency, including the ability to use Microsoft Office, Excel, and Procore.
+ CSTS certification.
+ WHMIS certification.
+ First Aid certification.

**Additional Skills & Qualifications**

+ Fall protection certification or Telehandler tickets.
+ Experience working on multiple projects simultaneously in a commercial construction environment.
+ Comfort working a mix of day, evening,



and night shifts depending on project needs.

**Work Environment**

The standard work week is 44 hours, Monday to Friday, with an 8-hour regular day shift typically running from 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Work above 44 hours per week is treated as overtime, and when Saturday work is required, the first four hours are at regular time with overtime thereafter.

The workplace involves working with typical construction tools and equipment, coordinating with subtrades on busy job sites, and wearing appropriate PPE as part of daily attire.

**Job Type & Location**
This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Edmonton, AB.

**Pay and Benefits**
The pay range for this position is $46.20 - $46.20/hr.

**Workplace Type**
This is a fully onsite position in Edmonton,AB.
