About Us

Spiri Robotics makes drones and other autonomous systems to help science, industry, and government rise to the challenges of our time in the environment, infrastructure, and defence. Our customers and end users include civilian and military organizations in Canada and elsewhere. We are pioneers of drone design, manufacturing, and capability.

We are based in Halifax, Nova Scotia. We have 20 permanent, full-time employees and plan to hire another 10 in the current round. The working environment is collaborative and multi-disciplinary with a mix of creative designers, engineers, programmers, operational experts, and others work closely to achieve remarkable outcomes.

Job Description:

Drone Technologists at Spiri Robotics support the design, prototyping, manufacturing, operation, and servicing of our products including Class 1 unmanned aerial systems. This plays out in laboratory, workshop, office, and active operational environments.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct experiments, tests, and troubleshooting procedures with cross-functional teams. Maintain laboratory, manufacturing, and operational equipment in good working order. Support field operations including deployments lasting for extended periods. Keep records and reports up to date. Continually develop and improve skills. Contribute effort and expertise to improve the team and help the Company achieve greatness. Provide technical support to end users whether in-house or as customers, addressing queries and troubleshooting issues related to our robotics systems.



Uphold workplace safety standards and protocols in all aspects of the work.

Qualifications:

- AEC/DEP or skilled trade certificate
- Proficiency in soldering and electronics work
- Proficiency with unmanned aerial systems, drones, or similar
- Proficiency with 3D printing technology and other maker techniques
- Skills in laboratory work and information & communications technology
- Excellent communication skills in English
- Ability to work full time on location Monday to Friday and to undertake occasional field deployments lasting weeks
- Ability to pass a security clearance

Pay: $28.50-$38.50 per hour
