The Channel is a restaurant and wine bar on Main Street in Liverpool, where good food and good company meet at the edge of the Atlantic. Our breakfast service is growing, and we're looking for someone to own our mornings. There's a particular quiet to a kitchen in the early light, before the town's fully awake and we want a cook who finds real craft in the simple things done well. You'll take good eggs and positive bread seriously, keep a clean and steady station, and send out plates you're proud of, morning after morning. For the right person, this is a doorway, we're growing, and we'd rather grow with someone than around them.
Responsibilities
- Prep, cook, and plate breakfast to a consistent, high standard
- Set up and break down your station cleanly and efficiently
- Keep your workspace organized and up to food-safety standards at all times
- Manage morning prep and timing so service runs smoothly
- Take care of ingredients thoughtfully, order awareness,
freshness, and minimal waste
- Work in sync with front-of-house so guests feel looked after from plate to table
- Bring consistency and pride to simple dishes, day in and day out
Qualifications
- Kitchen or line-cook experience preferred.
- Reliable and genuinely early-morning ready
- A steady hand and pride in a well-run station
- Knowledge of food-safety and cleanliness standards Food Handlers course required.
- Attention to detail and real care for consistency
