Icemasters Refrigeration and Air Conditioning is seeking a skilled Refrigeration Mechanic for the
Southern Alberta Region. This position is based in Calgary.
Job Description:
Second year to Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic required for Southern Alberta Commercial and light industrial service. The job consists of preventative maintenance, call out trouble shooting/ repairs, as well as recent and retrofit project installations.
Must be self motivated and Customer centric. Icemasters prides ourselves on being customer focused through Honesty, Integrity and Trust, and we expect the same from our Staff.
Icemasters pays on par hourly wages with the local union, including RRSPs and health care plan. Basic PPE will be furnished to the successful candidate (safety glasses, hi vis vest, gloves). Successful candidate is responsible for own CSA certified safety boots (steel toes/shanks). Company logoed work shirts, hats, and jacket will be provided. The successful candidate will be assigned a company service van that includes extension and step ladders, vacuum pump, recovery unit, acetylene bottle, nitrogen bottle and small consumables
The successful candidate will be subject to a 90-day probationary period per Alberta Labour Standards.
Remuneration to be discussed during interview process. Flexible health care plan is available after successful completion of 90-day probationary period.
Job/ Skills Requirement:
- Second Year to Journeyman Refrigeration Mechanic from Alberta/Canada Accredited technical institute with a keen ability to troubleshoot Commercial refrigeration and air conditioning issues
- Clean Drivers Abstract
- Must have own small tools
- Knowledge of building and piping installations of new systems
- Able to work alone and in a team environment
- Highly productive with a self-managing attitude toward Quality, Integrity and Honesty
- Able to work on an On-call basis and scheduled weekends
- Experienced with Commercial walk-in coolers and freezers, Commercial RTU and HVAC equipment, Capillary Style Refrigeration Systems, new installs (walk-in freezer/coolers),Commercial Vending and Ice production machines.
- Experience with Field Automation software (e.g. Field Edge, Tech Anywhere) is an asset but not required.
