We are currently recruiting for a reliable Personal Support Worker to support a male employer with Parkinson's with all activities of daily living.

The employers has a keen sense of humour, a excellent smile and enjoys walks, music, film, football, history and socializing.

Location:

- Gabriola (Near Descanso Bay Regional Park)

Shifts & Hours of Work:

- Monday - Wednesday 8:00am-4:00pm
- Thursday 4:00pm-7:00pm
- Friday - Sunday 8:00am-4:00pm

Compensation:

- $28 per hour

Responsibilities will include (but may not be limited to):

- Daily personal care such as showering, toileting, hygiene, shaving, grooming, dressing with support stockings
- Administering medications (pills), eyedrops and lidocaine patches when needed
- Cueing and direction with daily physical and speech exercises
- Taking and recording blood pressure while sitting and standing
- Guidance and assistance with transferring when needed
- Meal preparation, preparing snacks, salads, sandwiches
- Light housekeeping

Required Qualifications:

- Caregiving experience is preferred
- Experience with Parkinson's is required
- Driver’s License (Class 5)



and a reliable vehicle for ease of transit - required
- Physically fit to assist employer
