As our workload continues to expand, we are looking for a motivated and detail-oriented Junior Electrical Estimator to join our team.
Position Summary
The Junior Electrical Estimator will work closely with our estimating and operations team to prepare accurate and competitive project estimates. This is an excellent chance for someone looking to build a long-term career in electrical estimating, with mentorship and training provided.
Responsibilities
● Review drawings, specifications, and tender documents.
● Perform quantity take-offs for labour and materials.
● Request and review supplier and subcontractor quotations.
● Assist in preparing detailed project estimates and bid submissions.
● Help maintain estimating databases and cost information.
● Coordinate with project managers, foremen, and vendors during the estimating process.
● Track tender deadlines and assist with bid documentation.
● Attend site visits when required.
● Support continuous improvement of estimating processes.
Qualifications
● Electrical trade experience or construction management, or a related field is considered an asset.
● Strong understanding of commercial electrical systems.
● Excellent organizational and time management skills.
● Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
● Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Bluebeam, and Acubid).
● Experience with estimating software.
● Ability to work independently while collaborating with a team.
