Overview
As a Food and Beverage Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring smooth restaurant operations by providing outstanding service, supporting food preparation, and maintaining a welcoming environment. This paid position offers an exciting opportunity to develop your skills in the food industry while working in a dynamic, customer-focused setting.

Duties

- Greet guests warmly and assist with seating arrangements to ensure a positive dining experience
- Take and process customer orders accurately using POS (Point of Sale) systems such as Micros POS
- Prepare and serve food and beverages following established standards for quality and presentation
- Handle food safely by adhering to proper food handling and hygiene procedures
- Support kitchen staff with basic food preparation tasks and cooking assistance as needed
- Manage cash handling responsibilities accurately during transactions
- Supervise junior team members,



providing guidance and support to ensure excellent service delivery

Skills

- Proven experience in food service, restaurant management, or hospitality roles
- Solid knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and food safety regulations
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Micros POS or similar platforms
- Demonstrated leadership and team management skills, including supervising and interviewing staff
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to handle diverse guest needs professionally
- Familiarity with food handling procedures, kitchen operations, and restaurant experience
- Barista experience or hotel experience is a plus for versatile service capabilities
- Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
