We are currently seeking a fresh graduate to join our team in Calgary for a co-op opportunity.
Job Summary
The Architecture Student supports architectural teams across multiple phases of project development, from early design to construction documentation. This role offers hands-on learning opportunities in a quick-paced, collaborative studio environment and is ideal for students seeking to gain practical experience and contribute meaningfully to real-world projects.
Key Responsibilities
Design + Documentation
- Support the preparation of presentation and drawing packages across all project phases, including master planning, schematic design, design development, and construction documentation.
- Assist in the development of proposals and design competitions as required.
- Build proficiency in BIM platforms such as Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and other design software.
- Support visualization tasks including rendering, diagrams, and graphic outputs.
Project Support + Coordination
- Work collaboratively with project teams to complete assigned tasks and meet deadlines.
- Contribute to product and systems research to support design development.
- Ensure all work aligns with the firm’s Project Delivery standards, including proper use of filing systems, adherence to architectural procedures, and compliance with drawing and documentation protocols.
Team + Culture
- Actively engage in a collaborative, open studio culture and learn from mentorship by senior staff.
- Communicate clearly, manage time effectively, and contribute positively to the team dynamic.
- Participate in a 100% in-office environment that prioritizes flexibility, cross-functional collaboration, and knowledge sharing.
- Adhere to all company health and safety protocols and policies.
- Able to work in a collaborative, in-office environment (100% in-office presence required to support direct team engagement and effective cross-functional coordination).
Qualifications
- Enrolled in an accredited architectural program.
- Solid working knowledge of Revit, Rhino, Enscape, and other design and visualization tools.
- Familiarity with SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Professional demeanor, strong work ethic, and high level of motivation.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to organize multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
- Detail-oriented and eager to learn within a collaborative team setting.
