Responsibilities
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance on machinery and equipment to prevent breakdowns.
- Diagnose mechanical issues accurately using appropriate tools and techniques.
- Repair or replace faulty parts using hand tools and power tools efficiently.
- Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Collaborate with team members to troubleshoot complex mechanical problems and develop effective solutions.
- Follow safety protocols rigorously to ensure a safe working environment for all staff.
- Assist in the installation of new equipment and upgrades to existing machinery as needed.
Experience
- Proven experience as a mechanic or in a similar technical role, demonstrating strong mechanical knowledge.
- Proficiency in using hand tools such as wrenches, screwdrivers, pliers, etc., for various repair tasks.
- Experience operating power tools safely and effectively in maintenance or repair work.
- Ability to read technical manuals, schematics, and diagrams to identify issues accurately.
- Strong problem-solving skills with an active approach to diagnosing mechanical faults quickly.
- Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills to manage multiple tasks efficiently.
