Job Summary

We are seeking a skilled and reliable Helical Pile Installer / Operator to join our growing team at DiamondTech Piles. This role focuses on the installation of helical piles using hydraulic torque equipment, requiring precision, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of foundation systems.

The ideal candidate has experience operating skid steers or excavators, understands construction layouts, and takes pride in delivering accurate, load-bearing foundations built to engineered specifications.

Key Responsibilities

- Operate hydraulic drive heads mounted to skid steers and/or excavators to install helical piles to specified torque and depth requirements
- Monitor and record installation torque to meet engineered load capacities
- Read and interpret drawings, site layouts, and pile schedules for accurate placement
- Perform site layout and pile positioning based on plans and benchmarks
- Ensure piles are installed plumb, aligned, and to proper elevation
- Conduct daily equipment inspections and basic maintenance (drive heads, machines, vehicles, attachments)
- Work alongside crew members to execute installs efficiently and safely
- Adapt to varying site conditions including tight access, slopes, and different soil profiles
- Maintain a clean and organized job site

Safety & Compliance

- Follow all company and site-specific health & safety protocols
- Operate heavy equipment in a protected and controlled manner
- Identify and communicate hazards, underground risks, and soil condition concerns
- Ensure proper use of PPE at all times





Qualifications & Experience

- Experience operating skid steers, excavators, or similar equipment (required)
- Experience with helical piles, foundations, or torque-driven systems (preferred)
- Ability to read and understand blueprints, layouts, and engineered drawings
- Strong understanding of job site safety and heavy equipment operation
- Physically capable of working outdoors in all conditions
- Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving mindset

Licensing Requirements

- Valid AR Driver’s License (Ontario) – preferred
- Clean driver’s abstract
- Ability to safely transport equipment and materials to/from job sites

DZ License is considered an asset for candidates with experience hauling larger equipment or trailers
