Security Operations Communication Centre (SOCC) Operator
Position Overview
The Security Operations Communication Centre (SOCC) Operator is responsible for monitoring and coordinating security operations across multiple locations across Vancouver Island. This role ensures the safety of employees, clients, and property by proactively identifying risks, responding to emergencies, and supporting security teams
Pay rate: $25 for day shifts, $26 for graveyards

Responsibilities
- Monitor alarm events, incidents and provide support to field staff
- Dispatch emergency services and security staff when needed
- Handle after-hours service requests
- Maintain detailed incident logs and evidence reports
- Operate integrated software platforms
- Manage high-volume communication via phone, email, and internal systems
- Conduct daily compliance audits
- Remain calm, organized, and professional in high-stress scenarios
- Other duties as required to meet operational needs
Qualifications
- BC Security License is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of work experience in the security industry
- Minimum 6 months of security control centre or command center work experience
- Minimum 6 months of experience administering security access software
- Strong computer proficiency, especially in Microsoft Office; minimum typing speed of 40 wpm
- Positive customer service experience in a qualified environment
- Strong time management, organizational, and prioritization skills
- Ability to work independently in high-pressure, fast-paced environments
- High level of discretion and confidentiality in handling sensitive information
- Legal authorization to work in Canada
