Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Short Order Cook to join our vibrant food service team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing and cooking a variety of quick-serve meals in a fast-paced environment. This role requires a strong focus on food safety, quality, and customer satisfaction, ensuring that each dish is prepared efficiently and to high standards. The Short Order Cook will play a key role in delivering excellent food service and maintaining the smooth operation of our kitchen.

Responsibilities

- Prepare and cook menu items quickly and accurately according to established recipes and standards
- Serve food to customers in a timely manner, ensuring presentation and quality meet expectations
- Handle food preparation tasks such as chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area, including utensils, equipment, and work surfaces
- Follow all food safety guidelines and proper handling procedures to ensure health standards are met
- Assist with inventory management by monitoring stock levels and notifying management of supply needs
- Ensure all food is stored correctly to prevent contamination or spoilage




- Collaborate with team members to deliver efficient service during busy hours

Requirements

- Proven experience in food preparation, cooking, or food service within a restaurant or similar environment
- Knowledge of food handling safety protocols and proper sanitation practices
- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced setting while maintaining attention to detail
- Strong serving skills with a focus on customer satisfaction
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work well within a team
- Kitchen experience with familiarity in meal preparation techniques for various dishes
- Knowledge of the food industry standards for quality, safety, and cleanliness
- Flexibility to work during peak hours, including weekends or holidays if required

Pay: $17.60-$28.07 per hour
