Overview

We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in providing excellent food service and supporting the nutritional needs of residents in assisted living, long term care setting. This role offers an prospect to make a meaningful difference in the daily lives of residents by ensuring they receive nutritious, appealing meals in a clean and safe environment. The Dietary Aide will work collaboratively with culinary and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality meal service and uphold food safety standards.

Duties

- Assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, adhering strictly to health regulations.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, storage protocols, and sanitation practices.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents while maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude.
- Help manage inventory by organizing supplies and notifying staff of stock levels or shortages.




- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning, and sanitation to promote a safe environment for residents and staff.

Skills

- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal service within a healthcare or similar setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
- Demonstrated time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within scheduled meal times.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and proper hygiene procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
