We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Part-Time Dietary Aide to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will have a strong interest in providing excellent food service and supporting the nutritional needs of residents in assisted living, long term care setting. The Dietary Aide will work collaboratively with culinary and healthcare staff to deliver high-quality meal service and uphold food safety standards.
Duties
- Assist with meal preparation, plating, and serving meals to residents in accordance with dietary guidelines and individual preferences.
- Maintain cleanliness and sanitation of kitchen and dining areas, adhering strictly to health regulations.
- Handle food safely by following proper food handling procedures, storage protocols, and sanitation practices.
- Support the kitchen team with basic food preparation tasks, including chopping, assembling, and portioning ingredients.
- Ensure timely delivery of meals to residents while maintaining a friendly and respectful attitude.
- Help manage inventory by organizing supplies and notifying staff of stock levels or shortages.
- Follow all safety protocols related to food handling, cleaning, and sanitation to promote a safe environment for residents and staff.
Skills
- Previous experience in assisted living, nursing home, hospital, or food service environments is highly desirable.
- Strong knowledge of food safety standards and sanitation practices.
- Experience with food preparation, cooking, and meal service within a healthcare or similar setting.
- Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively with residents and team members.
- Demonstrated time management skills to efficiently complete tasks within scheduled meal times.
- Familiarity with food handling regulations and proper hygiene procedures.
- Ability to work collaboratively as part of a team while maintaining attention to detail in a fast-paced environment.
