We are currently seeking reliable and safety-focused Class AZ and DZ Drivers to join our team as Ready Mix Concrete Drivers. This is an excellent opportunity for experienced commercial drivers, or those looking to build a long-term career in the construction industry with comprehensive training provided. As a Ready Mix Concrete Driver, you will safely transport and deliver ready-mix concrete to residential, commercial, and infrastructure projects throughout the Ottawa area while maintaining the highest standards of safety, professionalism, and customer service.

Key Responsibilities

- Safely operate Class AZ or DZ ready-mix trucks with manual transmissions.
- Deliver ready-mix concrete to customer job sites in a safe and timely manner.
- Perform daily pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and document findings.
- Load and unload concrete according to customer specifications and company procedures.
- Complete delivery tickets, inspection reports, and required documentation.
- Maintain professional communication with Dispatch and Plant Personnel.
- Perform minor routine maintenance and keep the truck clean and presentable.
- Promote a solid safety culture by following all company health, safety, and environmental policies.
- Represent the company professionally while interacting with customers and contractors.
- Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications





- Valid Class AZ or DZ Driver's Licence.
- Air Brake (Z) Endorsement required.
- Experience operating manual transmission trucks.
- Clean driver's abstract and CVOR.
- Previous construction delivery or heavy truck experience is considered an asset.
- Ready-mix concrete experience is an asset but not required—training is provided.
- Strong communication and customer service skills.
- Dependable with a strong commitment to workplace safety.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Physical Requirements

- Ability to climb truck ladders and access equipment safely.
- Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver concrete chutes.
- Comfortable working outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Ability to work around heavy equipment and active construction sites.
- Must wear all required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Employees required to wear respirators must be clean-shaven where the respirator seal meets the face.
- Successful candidates may be required to complete a Criminal Reference Check and Fitness Testing.

Schedule

- Monday to Friday
- Flexibility required for Saturdays and occasional evenings
- Typical shifts between 6:00 AM and 6:00 PM
- Up to 55 hours per week during peak periods
