Job Description:

We are seeking a skilled labourer for low-mid rise construction in Embrun, ON. The ideal candidate will be able to communicate effectively, problem solve and be a team player.

Additionally, he or she will be familiar with industry safety standards, comfortable working in various weather conditions and at various heights.

Responsibilities

Skilled labour duties shall include, without limitation, the following:

1. Knowledgeable in a variety of tasks including, but not limited to: caulking, painting, trim, drywall repairs, mudding, taping, sanding, installing window & door, installing flooring, ceramic tiles, laminate,



kitchen cabinets, etc.

2. Experience in the use of hand and power tools including, but not limited to: caulking guns, mudding tools, drills, skill saws, etc.

3. Knowledge in back framing, framing repairs and new builds

4. Physical stamina for lifting equipment/materials and working at various heights and in tight spaces

5. Operating heavy machinery

6. Perform setup and cleanup tasks at the job site

7. Provide labour support as needed (landscaping, concrete finishing, rebar, etc.)

8. Be able to work with little or no supervision

9. Be able to work with subtrades and project team

10. Ensure that all work is performed in good workmanship

Requirements & Skill:

1. Ability to read and understand architectural/structural drawings

2. Ability to communicate effectively and efficiently

3. Aptitude in math

4. Good problem solving abilities

5. Ability to work in a team and be a team player

6. Good physical condition & stamina

Language:

- English (required)

License:

- Drivers License (required)

Certifications:

- WHMIS (required)
- Fall Arrest
- Working In Tight Spaces (preferred)
- First Aid (preferred)
- Working At Heights (required)
- Operating skid steer/backhoe/telehandler (required)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $30.00 per hour

Experience:

- Backhoe operation: 1 year (preferred)
- Skid steer loader: 1 year (preferred)
- telehandler operation: 1 year (preferred)
- labour: 3 years (required)

Licence/Certification:

- Driving Licence and reliable vehicle (required)
