START DATE: September 1, 2026

Qualifications Required:

- First Nations Language Teacher Certificate in Okanagan Language (as recognized by the BC Teacher Regulation Brand (TRB)). Uncertified language teacher applications may be considered with a commitment to complete the TRB Letter of Permission;

- recent experience teaching Okanagan language;

- proficient in speaking and writing in Okanagan and English;

- ability to model, teach and foster social, emotional and cultural awareness;

- knowledge of current effective instruction and assessment practices;

- demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment and contribute to the skilled community at the school and district level;

- effective communication, interpersonal, organizational and classroom management skills;





- ability to integrate technology into educational programs.
