The Investigators Group Inc. was founded in 1995. We are an established private investigation and security services company that provides a wide range of investigative solutions for our clients. We are looking to hire Uniformed Loss Prevention Deterrent Guards to assist our many retail clients in Brantford, ON and surrounding areas. This is an ideal opportunity for a dynamic individual starting their law enforcement career or a seasoned professional. The Investigators Group will provide training to help you be successful.

Position Summary

We are seeking a part-time Tactical Loss Prevention Officer to join our team in safeguarding retail environments. In this role, you will be responsible for proactively identifying and deterring theft, conducting on-site investigations, and preparing detailed incident and prevention reports. You will work closely with local law enforcement to support a safe and secure atmosphere for staff and customers.

Ideal Candidate

The ideal candidate will have:

- Exceptional situational awareness and observational skills
- Strong attention to detail and the ability to act decisively
- The capacity to work independently and remain composed under pressure
- Excellent communication skills, especially when liaising with police and emergency responders

Job Responsibilities





- Conducting surveillance to detect and prevent shoplifters from shoplifting
- Minimize the financial loss of retail items related to theft
- Write incident and prevention reports
- Follow policies and procedures

Requirements:

- Valid Ontario Security License
- Basic understanding of the Criminal Code of Canada, Trespass to Property Act and Powers of Arrest
- Ability to communicate with first responders, staff and management
- Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends
- Ability to work independently and possess initiative and integrity
- English (written and verbal)

Salary: $19.00 per hour
