Dirt Brothers Landscaping Ltd. is a growing, locally owned landscaping company specializing in high-quality landscape construction, excavation, irrigation, retaining walls, hardscaping, and property transformations throughout the Central Okanagan. We're looking for a motivated Lead Hand who enjoys working outdoors, takes pride in quality craftsmanship, and is ready to lead a crew while working alongside them in the field.

What You'll Do

- Lead and mentor a small crew on residential and commercial landscape construction projects.
- Coordinate daily tasks to ensure projects stay on schedule.
- Read and interpret project plans and communicate expectations to crew members.
- Operate equipment safely, including mini excavators, skid steers, compactors, and other landscape equipment.
- Complete a variety of landscape construction work, including:
- Retaining walls
- Paver patios and walkways
- Irrigation systems
- Grading and excavation
- Sod and planting installations
- Ensure projects meet Dirt Brothers' quality standards.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and productive job site.
- Communicate professionally with clients and management.

Qualifications

- 3+ years of experience in landscape construction or a related trade.
- Previous experience leading or supervising a crew is considered a strong asset.




- Strong understanding of landscape construction practices.
- Experience operating construction equipment.
- Ability to problem-solve and work independently.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
- Physically capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Valid Class 5 driver's licence (clean driver's abstract preferred).
- Experience towing trailers is an asset.
