Responsibilities:

· Makes sure safety is the number one priority

· Operates lockstitch (single needle) and overlock (serger) sewing machines to sew pillows close

· Fixes or immediately reports any sewing machine issues during the shift to the supervisor or production lead hand

· Understands the standard operating procedures (SOPs) for the sewing machines

· Immediately reports safety hazards they notice while using the sewing machines

· Suggests ways to improve sewing processes if any

· Other duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills:

· Previous manufacturing experience as a sewer with single needle (lockstitch) and serger (overlock) sewing machine experience

· Should be comfortable being cross-trained and working at different production lines and production roles in the factory





· Understanding of sewing processes and basic sewing machine fixes

· Attention to detail

· Willingness to work the morning shift (7:00am – 3:30pm) or afternoon shift (3:30pm to 12:00am) depending on customer demand

· Workdays are from Monday to Friday, but the individual might occasionally work on Saturdays

· Willingness to help in other areas of the factory if needed

· Cannot be allergic to polyester fibers, feathers, or down

· “Do it Right the First Time” mentality
