Job Overview
Renaissance Kids Early Learning Centre (for children 12 months to 6 years old) is a vibrant, creative and joyful place that is focused on nurturing and developing the whole child. Our unique and specialized programs, while rooted in the fine arts, follow a strong academic curriculum that embraces the very best of Montessori, Reggio Emilia, and Multiple Intelligences.

Under the direction of the Program Managers, the Event Support Administrator is responsible for planning, organizing, and executing school-wide events and community initiatives that enrich the Renaissance Kids experience. This role works collaboratively with management, staff, and families to coordinate special events, fundraisers, performances, orientations, and school activities while ensuring they are well organized and professionally executed. The Event Coordinator also provides administrative support related to event planning, school communications, yearbook production, and other projects that contribute to the smooth operation of the centre and foster a strong sense of community.

Essential job responsibilities can include, but are not limited to:

- Coordinate and manage school-wide events, including orientations, fundraisers, field trips, open houses, and seasonal celebrations.
- Collaborate with Program Managers and Dance/Music Instructors to organize the Year-end Graduation Show.
- Plan and coordinate fundraising initiatives including the Silent Auction, photo fundraisers, Book Fair, and Toy Fair.
- Plan and host the RK Open House.
- Coordinate the year-end picnic and other school community events, including the Terry Fox Run.
- Organize orientation materials and on boarding for new families
- Coordinate annual school photo sessions and distribute photo orders.
- Edit and produce the annual yearbook with the administrative team.
- Provide classroom support as needed,



including ratio and on-on-one assistance.
- Provide coverage for the Admissions Administrator and Program Managers during absences.
- Assist with general administrative duties, photography, and videography as assigned.

Employee Responsibilities and Conduct:

- Observes and adheres to the Company’s Policies and Procedures Manual – Employee Handbook (Signed acknowledgement form required)
- Supports and advocates for the unique educational philosophy of the Centre
- Supports and implements the Renaissance Kids philosophy in all interactions with children and families
- Maintains confidentiality and privacy of Renaissance Kids programs and students
- Maintains a qualified image (adhering to the company’s dress code) that reflects respect for the teaching profession




- Performs other related duties as assigned
- Challenges personal abilities and strives for excellence in job performance on a daily basis

Qualifications and Experience:

- Post-secondary education in Event Management, Business Administration, Communications, Education, or a related field is an asset.
- Valid First Aid/CPR certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Ability to complete a Criminal Record Check with Vulnerable Sector Search
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suiteand Google Workspace
- Experience with Canva, or similar design software is an asset
- Valid BC Class 5 Driver’s license and access to reliable transportation is an asset.
- Certification or experience in the ECE field is an asset
- 2-3 years of experience coordinating events, projects, or administrative operations.
- Experience organizing multiple events simultaneously while managing competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience working in an educational, childcare, nonprofit, or community-based environment is an asset.
- Experience coordinating vendors, volunteers, and external partners.
- Experience with photography, videography, social media, or yearbook production is an asset.

- Excellent communication skills with the ability to listen and respond appropriately to clients and communicate all necessary information and feedback to staff in a tactful and diplomatic manner.
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of classroom policies and procedures.
- Ability to effectively cope with stressful situations and tight deadlines.
- Positive attitude and strong work ethic
- Fluency in spoken and written English

Pay: $25.00 per hour
