About the Role

Kumpfy Shoes and Repair is a locally owned retail and repair shop specializing in footwear, clothing, and gear. We combine quality product sales with in-house cobbler and seamstress services, helping customers extend the life of what they own while finding the right products for the Bow Valley lifestyle.

We’re looking for a Retail Happiness Guru - someone who takes pride in delivering thoughtful, genuine customer service and creating a positive, welcoming in-store experience.

Key Responsibilities

- Assist customers in finding properly fitting footwear and suitable products for their needs
- Provide knowledgeable, honest guidance on footwear, clothing, and gear
- Communicate repair options clearly and support coordination with our cobbler and seamstress
- Process transactions and maintain an organized, efficient sales floor
- Contribute to a clean, well-presented, and inviting store environment
- Build strong, positive relationships with both locals and visitors

- Solid interpersonal skills and a genuine interest in helping people
- Ability to communicate clearly and confidently in a retail setting
- Interest in footwear, outdoor gear, or an active Bow Valley lifestyle
- Reliability, attention to detail, and a team-oriented mindset
- Comfort working in a fast-paced environment
- Comfortable navigating point-of-sale and basic computer systems

Preferred Qualifications





- Previous retail or customer service experience
- Knowledge of footwear fit, outdoor gear, or repair services
- Familiarity with hiking, trail running, climbing, or similar activities
- Experience with POS systems and general computer use
