We are seeking a motivated and relationship-driven Employer Advisor to join our team and support meaningful connections between jobseekers and employers across the Edmonton region.
Working within an integrated employment services team, the Employer Advisor serves as a key link between employers and jobseekers by developing employer partnerships, identifying workforce opportunities, supporting inclusive hiring practices, and facilitating successful employment placements.
This role is ideal for someone who enjoys networking, understands local labour market needs, and is passionate about helping employers find talent while supporting jobseekers in achieving their employment goals.
What You’ll Do
· Build and maintain solid relationships with employers, business associations, community organizations, and other employment partners.
· Conduct employer outreach, workforce needs assessments, and labour market research to identify employment opportunities.
· Support employers with recruitment, hiring, onboarding, and retention strategies.
· Develop job placements, work-based learning opportunities, and customized employment solutions.
· Connect jobseekers with employment opportunities that align with their skills, goals, and strengths.
· Provide ongoing support to employers and jobseekers to promote successful employment outcomes.
· Promote inclusive hiring practices and support employers in creating diverse and welcoming workplaces.
· Facilitate employer workshops, hiring events, industry sessions,
and community engagement activities.
· Maintain accurate documentation and records using case management and CRM systems.
· Collaborate with internal teams to support coordinated service delivery and program outcomes.
What You’ll Bring
· Minimum two (2) years of experience in employer engagement, job development, recruitment, career development, employment services, or a related field.
· Experience building employer relationships and supporting employment placements.
· Knowledge of inclusive hiring practices, disability-inclusive employment, and workplace accommodations is an asset.
· Understanding of local labour market trends and workforce development practices.
· Strong communication, relationship-building, negotiation, and problem-solving skills.
· Ability to develop creative employment solutions that meet both employer and jobseeker needs.
· Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
· Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, Zoom, and Microsoft Teams.
· Experience with CRM or case management systems is an asset.

Additional Requirements
· This is an in-person position located in Edmonton, Alberta.
· Occasional evening or weekend hours may be required for employer events or community activities.
· A Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check are required.
