Job Responsibilities

- Reviewing and preparing U.S. and Canadian tax returns
- Researching various U.S. and Canadian tax issues/questions
- Compiling financial statements, prepare year-end adjusting entries with a knowledge base of ASPE, IFRS, and the U.S. GAAP
- Preparing clear and comprehensive analyses and reports
- Preparing e-mails and other client correspondences, including but not limited to: memorandums, technical summaries, and participating in conference calls with clients
- Conduct phone calls with regulatory agencies (IRS, CRA etc.)
- Scheduling and meeting filing deadlines
- Responding to requests and notices from regulatory authorities




- Assuming project ownership by following a project from beginning to end with guidance from the Principal and managing client relations
- Coaching junior staff members in the firm

Desired Skills, Experience, and Qualifications

- A passion for tax is essential for this position
- U.S. CPA preferred
- Minimum of 5 years of relevant experience in a public accounting context
- Professional maturity
- Ability to deal effectively with Principal, Clients, regulatory authorities, and contractors
- Experience with Audit and Review in a variety of Industries
- Possess exceptional technical skills and fine attention to detail
- Have proven problem-solving capabilities including ingenuity, analytical skills, and creativity
- Strong interpersonal and organizational skills and the ability to organize, prepare, and present information to our clients and team
- Ability to multi-tasking and be able to deal with many clients at the same time
- A self-starter attitude with well-developed time management skills and a commitment to meeting deadlines
- A commitment to providing exceptional client service

Computer proficient

- Solid experience with MS Outlook, Word, Excel, Powerpoint, and working knowledge and experience in various software applications including QuickBooks, Profile, and tax research software.

This position requires working in-person at an affiliated firm located in Southern California. Successful candidates must demonstrate their ability to obtain TN visa, the cost for which will be sponsored by the firm.

Pay: From $120,000.00 per year
